Privacy policy

We do not ask for, and have no way to receive, your name, email address, phone number, street address, or payment details. There are no accounts and no sign-up. We do not operate lead forms and do not pass anything to contractors, brokers, or data buyers.

Calculations run entirely in your browser. What you type into a calculator is not transmitted to us and is not stored on any server.

Your inputs do appear in the page URL, so that a result can be bookmarked, reloaded, or shared if you choose to. That URL is under your control. Standard web server logs may record requested URLs for operational and security purposes; because a shared calculator link can contain a ZIP code, treat it as you would any other link you post publicly.

The most specific location we ever accept is a five-digit ZIP code, which is used only to select a state row from published statistical tables. It is never combined with anything else, and we do not build profiles.

If you dismiss the note explaining that the site is ad-supported, that preference is saved in your browser’s local storage so we do not show it again. It is a single flag, it never leaves your device, and clearing site data removes it.

Analytics are configurable and off by default. When enabled, we use a privacy-conscious, cookieless provider that reports aggregate page views without setting identifiers, tracking individuals across sites, or fingerprinting devices.

The site is supported by advertising. Ad networks may set cookies or use similar technologies subject to their own privacy policies, and where the law requires consent for this, a consent control is presented before any such technology loads.

We do not share calculator inputs with advertisers. We do not detect, measure, circumvent, or discourage ad blockers or browser privacy protections, and every calculator works identically whether or not advertising loads. See the advertising disclosure.

This site is intended for adults making decisions about property. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Because we do not hold personal data about you, there is generally nothing for us to retrieve, correct, or delete on request. If you believe we hold something about you, write to hello@plaintotal.com and we will respond.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the GDPR or the CCPA, including rights of access, correction, deletion, and objection, and a right not to have personal information sold. We do not sell personal information under any definition.

Material changes will be reflected in the date at the top of this page. Continued use after a change indicates acceptance of the revised policy.
