Advertising disclosure

The calculation engine has no knowledge of advertisers. No advertiser can pay to change an estimate, alter a range, be recommended by a calculator, or be excluded from one. Results are byte-for-byte identical whether an ad loads or not.

We do not sell leads, take referral commissions from contractors, or run affiliate links inside calculator results. If any of that ever changes, it will be disclosed here before it ships.

You are never required to click an advertisement. Nothing on this site is gated behind one, no calculator waits for one to load, and no result is withheld, shortened, or delayed if you never look at one. Advertising pays for the data work; using the calculators is not a transaction you owe us anything for.

Placements are fixed by the page template rather than decided ad hoc, and the space they occupy is reserved before anything loads, so a slot filling or staying empty never pushes content around.

• After the introduction — reserves 100px, loads immediately.
• After the result — reserves 250px, loads only when scrolled near.
• Within the guidance sections — reserves 250px, loads only when scrolled near.
• End of page — reserves 250px, loads only when scrolled near.
• Left rail — reserves 0px, loads only when scrolled near, wide viewports only.
• Right rail — reserves 0px, loads only when scrolled near, wide viewports only.

• No advertisement between pressing a control and seeing the result.
• No advertisement inside a calculator form or beside its primary action.
• No artificial delay before a result in order to expose an ad.
• No fake buttons, no ads styled to look like site controls or navigation.
• No asking, nudging, or incentivising anyone to click an advertisement.
• No refreshing ads to inflate impressions, and no artificial traffic.
• No hiding ads, layering them, or placing them under clickable elements.
• Never more advertising than meaningful content on a page.
• Every unit is labelled, and lazy-loaded below the fold to protect performance.

We do not work around them. No circumvention, no obfuscation, no anti-adblock walls, no detection scripts that report back, no degraded results, and no nagging.

What actually happens if a slot does not fill, for any reason:

• The container collapses cleanly, without leaving a gap.
• A first-party recommendation for our own calculators may appear in its place, clearly labelled as ours.
• A single polite sentence explains that the site is ad-supported. You can dismiss it permanently and it will not come back.
• Every calculator continues to work exactly as it otherwise would.

Using a content blocker is a legitimate choice about your own browser. Making a free reference tool worse for people who make that choice would be a bad trade.

Advertising is currently disabled on this deployment. Ad serving is controlled by an environment variable and is switched off entirely during development, testing, and any ad-network review period. No production advertising identifiers are stored in the codebase.
